behind the lens
I grew up in Edison, New Jersey with a skateboard under my feet and a camera over my shoulder. My mom turned our laundry room into a makeshift darkroom, and by high school I was publishing skate zines that my dad printed at his shop. I even landed a full-page photo in Transworld Skateboarding Magazine before I could legally buy a beer.
After a few detours, including my family’s printing business and a t-shirt company, I picked up a digital camera in 2003 and rediscovered photography.
What started as an experiment turned into a two-decade wedding career that took me around the world, earned me recognition as one of American Photo’s Top Ten Wedding Photographers in the World, and more than 80 Fearless Awards—one of the toughest honors in wedding photography. Along the way I taught workshops and connected with photographers worldwide.
Unbridled brings together the pieces—skateboarding, weddings, travel, and personal work into one place, a record of the creative path I’ve followed.
